It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the School of Mathematical Sciences, Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

Mathematical Sciences have been among the fundamental disciplines for centuries which provide the language and tools for understanding the world, advancing scientific knowledge to tackle the challenges of the complex world. The school is committed to promoting excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation and the applications of mathematical sciences.    

Our School brings together a vibrant community of students, faculty members, researchers, and professionals as well as professional institutions dedicated to advancing mathematical sciences and their applications and implementation. The school strives to provide an inspiring academic environment where students can develop mathematical foundations, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and research skills. Through our academic programs and research activities, we aim to prepare graduates to contribute effectively to academia, industry, technology, and other emerging fields.

Realizing the importance of collaborations, the School is committed to fostering national and international partnerships, interdisciplinary research, and academic exchanges that create opportunities for our students and faculty members and contribute to the development of mathematical sciences and their applications.  The School has been publishing a journal “The Nepal Journal of Mathematical Sciences” as an outlet for the scientific findings on mathematical sciences.

The school has been conducting a bachelor level actuarial science program and bachelor and master level programs on data science. The programs have been fostering a high-level academic learning environment and research. As we move forward, our vision is to establish the School as a center of excellence in mathematical sciences in Nepal. We welcome students, researchers, academic institutions, industries, and other stakeholders to join us in this endeavor.
